Mass Reminder - In the event that regularly scheduled masses during the week are changed to communion services, please contact the office to inquire as to when they were rescheduled.

Funeral Mass - We would like to remind you that if we have a funeral mass on Thursday mornings at 9:00am, we will NOT have a 5:30pm mass. The mass intentions scheduled for that evening will be read at the 9:00am funeral mass. If any questions, please call the office.

Children's Liturgy of the Word - is held at the 11 o'clock am Mass on Sundays. We are in dire need of Catechists and/or parents, who are willing to assist with this program. I will be more than happy to brief you on what is expected of you, also I invite you to participate at any of the Sunday Children's Liturgy of the Word and become acquainted by joining these young people. You would be assigned to a particular Mass with an experienced Catechist to help you. It is not a difficult ministry and it is a short ministry, as the children are called forth after the opening prayer and return to their pews after the petitions are read. If you are interested or if you know of someone who would be interested, please have them contact me, Connie Smith, at the Office of Religious Education at 983-5034.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion - At any Mass you attend, please be watchful and aware of whether additional ministers are needed and COME FORWARD to help. Don't wait in your pew waiting for someone else to do it. If you see that extra ministers are needed, move into action. We would rather have too many ministers than not enough.

Bereavement Support Group "Safe Journey" - meets here at St. John's on Tuesday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come help support during this journey. Call Barbara at 670-1265 or Christella at 983-3709. IF INTERESTED IN A MINISTRY, PLEASE ATTEND THE SCHEDULED MEETING. THANK YOU!

Stand, Sit or Kneel? - Remember, as a gathered Assembly we are to sing, pray, listen and participate fully and consciously as a community of prayer. The changes called for by the Catholic Church are intended to help us accomplish this. The Church encourages us to put aside our personal preferences and be more fully aware of Christ's presence in the Word proclaimed, the Eucharist shared, the minister of the Church and the People of God gathered with us. Here are a few reminders about our common postures and gestures as we implement the Revised GIRM (General Instruction of the Roman Missal).
